The description states that there are over 550 designs and variations on this CD which is probably going to be true of the full set of 5 CDs. There are around 80 patterns on this CD and then you can add variations but will still not get over 200. To view the patterns you must click on each one. Thumbnails are not provided. Save your money, buy the books and scan the ones you want to use.

The designs are great; however I was disappointed with this product because you actualy need EQ 6 to get a smooth outline of the quilting design. It does not synchronize with EQ5.

I have five of these discs (there are seven at the time of this writing), and they are *wonderful*. Two of the reviewers made incorrect statements which detract from this fine (and incredibly time-saving!) product. There are 553 designs; you cannot see all of them at once because that would make the thumbnails so tiny that it would be impossible to see the detail. And you *don’t* need Electric Quilt in any version to print them; you can print them directly from the disc, and the lines are smooth and perfect. Buying a book and scanning them is NOT better, because you can make these any size and shape you want. You are not constrained to the proportions of the design, but can stretch the designs out long and skinny or blow them up. And you don’t have to do bothersome tracing if you don’t want. Just print out what you need, tack them down, and stitch through the paper using small stitches. The paper removes easily. I use them to add patterned stitching to regular clothes, not just quilts. The possibilities are endless.

Using this software is SO MUCH better than getting quilting designs out of a book because you can tell the computer how big your block is or the size of your border or sashing and it automatically scales it to size. It is fun to play with and you can print out different designs to see how they work with your actual quilt. I just finished a baby quilt for my granddaughter and the comments I got were asking about how I did the quilting part of it. I loved it so much I bought volume 3 as well.

Waste of money. Product does what it says, but using it on a quilt is another story. Wish I had passed on this one.
